LHH is actively looking for a Logistics Specialist for one of our favorite clients! They are a stable and growing international manufacturing and distribution company in the Crystal Lake area. The ideal candidate would have extensive dryage experience, high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Job duties include:

• Work interdepartmentally with local and remote teams including warehousing and transportation providers, acting with a high sense of urgency to resolve any issues
• Tracking and tracing
• Monitor carrier performance
• Audit invoices and investigate discrepancies
• Create shipment BOL paperwork
• Manage annual RFQ process for carriers
• Create and monitor KPIs to ensure logistics success
• Additional duties as needed

Background required:

• 5+ years of experience
• Extensive drayage experience
• Carrier management expeirence
• ERP experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advanced Excel
