We are currently recruiting for a
Millwright to join our team.
What you will do He or She will maintain and repair the terminal operating equipment, fixtures, vehicles, etc. through the issuance and receipt of Preventative maintenance (PM) tickets, work orders and verbal requests. Fabricates any necessary additions to the facility. Employs industry accepted safe work practices. Follows all plant safety rules.
Key Duties & Responsibilities - Uses knowledge and tools to repair and maintain various operating equipment including, but not limited to, pumps, valves, meters, compressors, motor, and other.
- Proficient in the use of Precision tools (ID and OD Micrometers, Dial Indicators, Calipers, Precision, and Laser Alignment. Reverse alignment, able to analyze vibration reading/data, and run a Lath are a Plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Bring in new ideas for existing/upcoming projects.
- Operate construction equipment as needed. Utilizes all necessary PPE and applies safe work practices including lock-out-tag-out, first line break, hot work/safe work permits, OSHA right-to-know, etc. Inspects all work after it is done, signs off on appropriate paperwork, communicates job completion; He/she shall inspect such work for correct, complete, and safe installation or repair.
- Assist in compiling and organizing a complete spare parts inventory.
Organize and complete a preventative maintenance plan to ensure extended equipment life; Prepare a detailed material list, manpower and tool requirements to - complete a job assignment.
Acquire working knowledge of terminal operations, wastewater, steam boilers, flares, plant electrical code, meters, etc. - Meet with vendors to acquire new skills or technical knowledge alternate solutions to recurring problems, and cost reduction new technologies.
Qualifications - High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- NCCER a Plus.
- Minimum 7 years of related work experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be willing to be coached and/or to coach and help others in the craft.
- Ability to coordinate and complete tasks.
